Funeral services for John F. Downey were held yesterday from his home, 487 North Avenue, with a high mass of requiem celebrated in St. Patrick's Church by Rev. J. C. Lynch. Miss Mary Kelly sang "Pia Jesu: at the offertory and "Some Sweet Day" after the mass. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. The pall bearers were Thomas P. Doherty, James J. Whalen, Frank Tait, John Neary, Charles McCarthy and Samuel Corso.
