Direct Ancestress of U.S. President/General Dwight D. Eisenhower whose mother Ida Stover came from the direct male line of Jacob Stover and Sarah Adeline Boone.

It is probable that Sarah is the paternal aunt of Frontiersman Daniel Boone being the elder sister of Squire Boone, Daniel's father.

According to documents owned by the Boone Society she is the daughter of George Boone III and his wife Mary (Maugridge) Boone, Daniel Boone's paternal grandparents.

It is strongly contended that after the death of her husband, Jacob Stover, Sarah left Virginia and returned to Pennsylvania moving to Berks Co., PA to live with her daughter, Sarah Boone (Stover) Ellis, wife of Rowland Ellis, practicing Quakers. If she died there she is likely buried in the Exeter Friends Cemetery, a Quaker cemetery with no grave markers. Sarah's daughter Sarah, her son-in-law Rowland Ellis, and Sarah's Quaker parents are all buried in this cemetery. Sarah grew up Quaker, but did not adhere to Quaker practices in her marriage with Jacob Stover.

Document owned by the Boone Society:
(2.) 1692 Sarah ye daughter of George Boone baptized the 28th day of March

From James Boone Genealogy: "SARAH BOONE (Daughter of George & Mary Boone) was born on the Fifth Day of the Week, about ½ H. past 11 in the Forenoon, on the 18th of February 1692."

Sarah married Jacob Stover 15 March 1715 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Explains Hazel Spraker, "Sarah married Jacob Stover 15 Mar 1715, as recorded in Christ Church, Philadelphia." Sarah became the second wife of Jacob Stover who was a widower when she married him. He had several children by his first wife. Sarah and Jacob had as many as 10 children together. Most of the children were born in Pennsylvania before the family moved to the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.
