R. Geraldine "Gerry" Bickford, 77, of Clearfield, PA died Thursday, October 2, 2003 at her home.
Born September 18, 1926 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Wade P. and Leda (Read) Bickford.
She was a 1944 graduate of Clearfield High School, a graduate of Dickinson Lycoming College and Boston University School of Music. She taught for two years at the Cooper Township School prior to accepting a position at the Clearfield Hospital where she served as secretary to the Director of Nursing until she retired in 1993.
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church where she served as Church Organist and Director of Music from 1953 until her retirement on September 24, 2002 having served with eight pastors. She started the church bell choir and directed a total of five choirs while at the church.
She organized, accompanied and directed a nurses choir chorus from the hospital School of Nursing; accompanied Old Town players musicals and was accompanist for Clearfield Choral Society.

having been preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marion (Bickford) Ward.
