Mitchell – Darrell Tolliver, 55, of 206 West Warren Street, Mitchell, died at 10:46 am on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born October 12, 1956 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Chester and Ruth (Troxel) Tolliver. He was a 1974 Graduate of Oolitic High School. He married LeAnn Nolan on August 1, 1981 and she survives. He was employed with the grounds crew for I. U. Building Services and was a member of the New Life Trinity Holiness Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife, LeAnn of Mitchell; his children, Jennifer Elrod and husband, Chad of Orleans, Jeremy Tolliver of Mitchell, Lisa Alcorn and husband, Brandon of Bedford, Leah Tolliver at home; four grandsons, Dane and Connor Elrod, Ayden and Blaise Tolliver; one granddaughter, Rebekah Alcorn; two brothers, Chuck Tolliver and wife, Joyce, Jerry Tolliver and wife, Ruth Ann all of Bedford; one sister, Karen Kean of Columbus, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Bill Tolliver; one granddaughter, Abigail.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Mark Brock officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
