Ray Albert Moore, age 83, of Everton, Arkansas, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 19, 2012, after a long struggle with lung disease. He was born on December 19, 1928, near Western Grove, Arkansas, the son of Oda and Etta (Mills) Moore, and resided in the Searcy and Newton County areas all his life. Along with his parents, Ray was preceded in death by brothers Earnie, Don, and Roy Moore along with an infant brother; and three sisters, Florence Moore, Josephine Crow, and Willadean Walker.

Ray was a quiet, wonderful, Christian man. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, camping and in his early years, he was an avid coon hunter. Ray retired from Claridge Products where he worked for over 25 years.

In 1950, Ray married Gearlene Ramsey Moore. Ray and Gearlene had two daughters; Linda was born in 1951 and Charolette in 1953. The girls grew and so did their family. Gregery was the first grandson, then Kevin, and as time passed Michelle and Robin came. Ray and Gearlene worked and played together for 47 years until Gearlene's death in 1997.

In August of 2000 Ray was blessed by a second marriage to Robbie Casey Raver. They had been friends for many years and were blessed to spend the last 11 1/2 years together.

Surviving family include his wife Robbie, of the home; two daughters, Linda and her husband Roland of Harrison and Charolette and her husband, Jacky of Pindall. Ray loved his extended family which included Robbie's children, Kenny Raver and his wife Kathy, Tom and Debbie Raver, Charles Raver, Angela and Alan Greenhaw and Don and Nickie Raver.

His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Gregery Eddings, Kevin Choate, Michelle Nichols, Robin Daniels, Kathy Jones, Karen Martin, Christa Holsted and Candy Anderson. After his marriage to Robbie, he gained eighteen more grandchildren. He also left behind fifteen great-grandchildren.
