Ms. Katherine May Fort, 96 of Warren, AR went home to be with her Lord on January 21, 2012, in the presence of all her family in Bella Vista, AR.

Born December 10, 1915 in Warren.

Katherine was the eldest of four daughters.

Excelling at both athletics and studies, Katherine was involved in basketball and track while earning the distinction of Valedictorian of the Warren High School Class of 1933.

After High School, Katherine worked for the WPA and Dr. Pepper Bottling Co. However, her most memorable positions were at Warren Bank & Trust and a 50+ year elected tenure as Treasurer for the City of Warren. She was an active member of the BCMH Women's Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church for over eighty years.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, David B. Fort; her mother and father, Eugene & Zora May; one sister, Betty May all of Warren and her son-in-law Hugh McMillan of Bella Vista, AR.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Fort McMillan of Bella Vista, and Dr. David & Patti Fort of Lowell, AR; two sisters Marcell Taylor and Nell Reep both of Warren; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 24rd, 10AM at the Frazer Funeral Home Chapel.

Graveside internment at Oakland Cemetery in Warren.
