Funeral services for Charles Lee Avery, 66, of 824 Elgin, a resident of Muskogee since 1923 who died Wednesday in a Muskogee hospital, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Agent Funeral Home chapel. Services will be conducted by Reverand Marvin Williams, assisted by Burt Homer. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery at Fort Worth, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Mabel of the home; three brothers, Bill, Frank and Emmitt, all of Hutchinson, Kansas; and a sister, Mrs. Jim Nelson of Hutchinson. Avery was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He also belonged to Masonic Lodge 518 of Oklahoma City, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 14 of Muskogee and Mount Olivet chapter of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Muskogee.Pall Bearers: Bobby Simmons, David Lee, Tom Davis, Bill Bowland, I.O. Garrison, Jr., Carl Ray Killman, Mervin Bowers.
