Reinetta "Nettie" Storm, 79, died in White Salmon on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003. She was born on Oct. 11, 1924, in Springfield, Colo., to George and Berda (Sober) Nevills. She graduated from Denver High School and married Albert Storm on Oct. 13, 1943. The couple moved to Washington soon afterward. Mrs. Storm lived in the Tri-Cities, Yakima Valley, the Washington coast and White Salmon, finally settling in White Salmon three years ago. She worked for an ammunition plant during the war, for Sears in the drapery and floor covering departments, and for Jantzen and Lamb West. Mostly, though, she was a dedicated homemaker. Mrs. Storm enjoyed sketching and painting, reading science fiction and crocheting. In her younger years, she liked to hunt and she kept on fishing until she could no longer get around.
Survivors include daughters Georgia Sears-Schorsch and Marjorie Baumgarten, both of White Salmon; son Robert Storm, Spokane; stepson Al Storm, Arizona City, Arizona; grandchildren Alvin Sears, Tina Armstrong, Tami Sears, Mark Baumgarten and Michelle Billette, all of White Salmon, Robbie Storm, Spokane, Shannon Perry, Jerrimie McMillan and Jessica McMillan, all of Hoquiam, Diane Pyle, Missouri, and Albert Scheuffele, Kennewick; two step-grandchildren, Heidi and Frank, Seattle; 30 great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandson; brothers Roy Nevills, West Richland, and George Nevills, Montesano; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Albert, granddaughter Kathy, great-grandson Dustin, stepson Ronald, and brothers Alba Ernest.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon with vault interment at the White Salmon Cemetery.
