ABBATE. In Hartford. Dominic C. "Gabby" Abbate, 77, of 69 Cumberland St., Hartford, beloved husband of Rose (Rago) Abbate, died Monday (Feb. 11, 1980) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford, he had lived in the area all his life. Mr. Abbate was the co-owner of the Hearthstone Restaurant from 1945 to 1955 and also of the former Villa Nova Restaurant of Hartford, retiring 20 years ago. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Michael F, Abbate of Enfield and Donald A, Abbate of Wethersfield; a daughter, Mrs Robert (Dolores) Vallera of Hartford; 11 grandchildren and serveral nieces. Funeral will be Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Wethersfield Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., with mass of Christian 10 a.m. at St. Lawerence O'Toole Church, Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Calling hours: today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
