James Park "Jimmy" Anderson, 59, of State Street, Greeneville, died Saturday evening at his home after an extended illness.

Mr. Anderson was a former personnel director, safety director, and supervisor at Metals Engineering Corp., now MECO Corp., a former owner of the Little Orange Market, and a farmer.

He graduated from Greeneville High School and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City.

Mr. Anderson was a member of Moose Lodge #692, and the DeBusk Ruritan Club, holding a number offices until his health failed.

His family noted that he loved fishing and boating, and was an avid NASCAR fan. They stated that he was a very loving husband, father, stepfather, son, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife: Sue Anderson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Cary and Veronica Anderson of Morristown and Terry and Cassie Anderson of Greeneville; a stepson: Steven Ball, whom, the family said, he helped rear; four grandchildren: Logan Anderson and Braiden Anderson, both of Greeneville, and Rebeca Anderson and Jordan Anderson, both of Morristown; his mother: Lucille Gardner Anderson of Greeneville; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Lynn DeVoti of Chuckey, Donna and Karry Freshour of Greeneville; several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins; and special friends, Norman and Shirley Ricker, Karen Roberts, Al Carpenter, Beverly McMurry, Heather Paxton, and Michelle Reed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent "Ted" Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning in the funeral home chapel with interment in New Bethel Cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Malone and the Rev. Faye Lynn Ricker will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Norman Ricker, Al Carpenter, Lynn DeVoti, Jim McCord, Teddy Dean, Vaughn T. Reaves, David Bowers, and Jerry Ball.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Rev. Jimmy Bowers, David Reaves, Runt Riddle, Chris Malone, "Red" Moore, Sam Reaves, Gene Norton, Winston "Danny" Summey Jr., I.J. Mathes, Matt Casteel, Steve Ball, Kerry Freshour, James Strange, Mark Ricker, Johnny Hardin, J.C.
