J.D. Farrell, 94, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2004.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Memorial Park.
J.D. was born March 5, 1909, in Allendale, Mo. He was a retired accountant for General Dynamics. He retired in 1972 after 35 years of employment. After retirement, Jubal worked as a house painter and stained-glass artist. Jubal grew up in northwest Missouri. In the '20s he taught school in a one-room school house in Worth County, Mo. He moved to West Texas during the Depression and met his wife, Ila Robbins, while working as a traveling salesman.
Jubal was preceded in death by his former wife in 2002.
Survivors: Sons, Dick Farrell and wife, Shahin, of Reno, Nev., and David Farrell and wife, Holly, of Dallas; grandchildren, Natasha and Cimone Farrell, both of Reno, and Justin and Zachary Farrell, both of Dallas; and sister-in-law, Virginia Farrell.
