Dorothy M. Benedett, 88, of St. Charles, died Sunday (May 30, 1999) at the Lewiston Villa Nursing Home in Lewiston.
Dorothy was born May 31,1910 in Elba Township of Winona County to Albert and Emma (Nienow) Zastrow. She was a member of Berea Moravian Church of St. Charles and a graduate of St. Charles High School. Dorothy married Herbert Benedett at St. Charles on Nov. 20, 1933. They farmed in the St. Charles-Dover area for 34 years, retiring in 1967.
Survivors include a daughter Carol (Mrs. Richard) Turner of Roseville, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert in 1982, one sister and two brothers.
Funeral Service will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Berea Moravian Church with the Rev. Earl Stephan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends and relatives may call one hour before the service today at the church.
