New Haven,- A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday for Helen Szydlowski Coutts, 75 of 1122 Whalley Ave., a retired nurse, who died Tuesday July 7, 1992, at Yale - New Haven Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack. She was the wife of Ernest Coutts.
The Mass will be at 9 A.M. in St. Florence Church, Wakefield, Mass. Burial will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Aedan's Church, New Haven, at 7:30 A.M. Aug 3. The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St., is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Coutts, daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Liesnewski Szydlowski, was born in North Redding, Mass., May 5, 1917. She had lived in New Haven since 1942.
A graduate of the Lowell General Hospital School of Nursing, Lowell, Mass., she worked as a nurse at Yale-New Haven Hospital for 38 years until her retirement.
She was also a member of the Republican Party and the American Association for Retired People.
Besides her husand, she leaves two daughters; Gail Jacobs of Wayland, Mass., and Pamela Coronato of Staten Island, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Sigmund Szydlowski; and a sister, Blanche Flynn.
