Mrs. Nancy Barfield Passes After Long Illness: Rites Friday.

Mrs. Nancy C. Adams Barfield, 91, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Grady James of Butler, Wednesday afternoon, September 10, after an illness of over three years.

A native of Taylor County, Mrs. Barfield resided in this county for a number of years and was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. James of Butler, Mrs. G. P. Payne of Macon and Mrs. Archie Collier of Fort Valley; three sons, H. L. Barfield of Oglethorpe, A. W. Barfield of Montezuma and C. E. Barfield of Americus; two brothers, H. V. Adams of Jacksonville, Fla. and S. A.Adams of Thomaston; one sister, Mrs. Y. J. Garrett of Jacksonville, Fla; 42 grandchildren and 64 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at Bethlehem Church Friday morning with the Rev. W. J. Childree and Rev. B. T. Young Officiating. Interment was in the BETHLEHEM CEMETERY.

Pallbearers were Charlie Payne, Robert Payne, Lawrence Collier, Elton Collier, Clarence Barfield and Everett Barfield.

Edwards Funeral Home of Butler was in charge of arrangements.

Nancy was the daughter of Ezekiel Amos Adams Jr. & Sarah Jane Gaultney Adams
