Lola Stillman Henson was born May 29, 1907 at North Loup, Nebraska to Homer and Mattie Coleman Sample and died February 22, 1987 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 79.

Lola grew up and attended school in North Loup. Lola then taught school for a time near Ericson and also near North Loup.

She was married to Leland Stillman May 30, 1928 at North Loup.

They farmed near North Loup until 1951. They moved to Albuquerque where they owned and operated a motel. Leland died January 13, 1963. Lola continued to live there and was married to James Henson on February 28, 1968. They ran the motel until they retired in 1970. James died October 18, 1974. Lola continued to make her home in Albuquerque until her death.

Survivors include one grandson, Gary Stillman of Albuquerque; and two brothers, Sam and Joe, both of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, one daughter, and one son.

Funeral services were planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, February 26 at the Seventh Day Baptist Church in North Loup with Rev. Ken Burdick and Rev. Jim Stillman officiating. The organist is Louise Brennick and the soloist is Jeneane Abel. Pallbearers are Victor King, Elery King, Merlin Stillman, Hillis Coleman, Victor Cook, and Derwin White. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery at North Loup. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the North Loup Seventh Day Baptist Church.
