In the 1920 US Census, Dennie was working at the cotton gin and in 1930, Dennie was working for the railroad. By 1940, the US Census lists Dennie as a preacher for the Assembly of God.
At the age of 64, Dennie passed away and his wife, Anna, died in 1974.
