Funeral services for Virginia R. Mitchell, 47, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Starbuck Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth R. Boyd officiating. Private interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Laton. She died Friday night at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after a short Illness. She was born in 1926 in Arizona and had been a Lompoc resident for the past 12 years, last employed by the Lompoc Unified School District as a clerk.
Mrs. Mitchell was a member of the Fleet Reserve Auxiliary and the Lompoc Civic Theater. She is survived by her husband, Hilton M. Mitchell, and her mother, Mrs. Bernadine Hall, both of Lompoc. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lompoc Hospital Auxiliary or the heart fund.
