Funeral services for Mrs. Lyda Hurley, 82, Madison, were held from the First Baptist Church, Madison, with burial in the Milton Cemetery.

Mrs. Hurley, a former Milton resident, died May 19 in a Madison hospital following a brief illness.

She was born in Dell Rapids, S. Dak., and was married to R. Vernon Hurley, who served as Dane County Agricultural Agent from 1936 to 1953. He died in 1953.

Mrs. Hurley was a member of the First Baptist Church, Madison, the Madison Civics Club and the Daughter of Demeter.

Surviving are three daughters: Miss Candace Hurley of Ames, Iowa, Mrs. Franklin Bradley of Evansville, and Mrs. George Stevenson of Darlington; one son, Robert Hurley, at home; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Frederick, Milton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
