1924 ~ 2012
Eleanor C. Wightman died January 21, 2012. Born November 29, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Lester W. and Gudrun Boye Faulkner. She married John A. Wightman November 30, 1941 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She sang in the Tabernacle Choir, served three LDS missions with her husband, and filled many stake and ward callings.
She is survived by 29 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 11 children: Barbara Pomeranz, John Jr. (Jessie), David (Brenda), Priscilla Stimpson, Peggy Davis (Victor Kurlytis), Linda (Mark) Hamilton, Lynn (Nancy), Mark (Alisa), Michael (Luke Worrell), Chris (Aimee) and Susan Olsen (Kelly Angell); and siblings, Lester Faulkner, Sally Cole and Alice (Earl) Bartholomew. Preceded in death by her husband and one grandchild.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 11:00 am at the Taylorsville 16th Ward, 3495 West 4850 South, with a viewing on Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment at Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
