Roland A. Backenstross, 82, of 1662 Timberidge Circle, Leesburg, Fla., formerly of the Glenfield area, died May 10 in a Florida hospital.
The graveside service is 2 p.m. today at the Old Glendale Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, the former Evelyn M. Davenport, two nieces and two nephews.
Born in East Syracuse, July 14, 1910, a son of Clarence H. and Ethel Fairchild Backenstross, he was a Navy veteran of World War II.
