"Howard Applegate, 60, Hope Road, Lakewood, a school bus driver and former Lakewood plumber, died at his home Friday.
He was born in the house where he resided, the son of the late Daniel Applegate and Mrs Jessie Applegate Pulsifer. Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, Mrs. Bridgie Applegate; a daughter, Mrs. Audrey Vogel; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Albert Wainwright, all of Lakewood. He was a member of the Hope Presbyterian Church, and a veteran of World War I. Funeral services were held at 2 PM Tuesday from the Hope Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Albert H Manus, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in Hope Chapel Cemetery under the direction of the CHT Clayton and Son Funeral Home, Adelphia".
