Joseph Daniel Schifani, age 86, Dan passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2012. Dan was born in Albuquerque on March 25, 1925 but was a long-time resident and business owner (Schifani Brothers Printing Company) in Santa Fe for 62 years. Dan retired from the United States Army reserves as a Major. Dan was very active in his church as an usher and extraordinary minister for many years. Dan was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Diane, and his eight brothers and sisters, Louis, Manuel, Frank, Dante, Ted, Anna, Pearl and Marion. Dan is survived by his three children Pati (Robin) of Buffalo, NY, Ricky and his wife, Constance of Santa Fe and Cindi and her husband, Gerald of Albuquerque. Dan is also survived by grandchildren, Scott (Debra) and Kim (John) of Buffalo, NY and Darlene of Santa Fe and great children, Joseph, Nicholas, Alyssa and Daniel of Buffalo. We will miss you and always love you.
Viewing will be on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Berardinelli Family Funeral Service. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2012. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery.
