Robert Lee Ayers, 86, of Route 3, Pulaski, died Tuesday morning, April 27, 1999 in the Pulaski Health Care Center. He was born in Pulaski County on June 5, 1912 and was the son of the late Charlie Thomas Ayers and Barbara Ayers Guynn. He was also preceeded in death by a son, Thomas Howard Ayers and a daughter, Patricia Ellen Ayers. He was a retired supervisor at Hercules, Inc. of Pulaski.
Surviving are his wife, Anna A. Ayers of Pulaski; daughters and sons in law, Nellie Jain and Richard McGuigan of Buford SC and Carol Joyce and Beckwith Akers of Draper, son, Robert Paul Ayers of Pulaski; sister Betty Ruth Jones of Pulaski; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one step gerat grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 pm from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Burial will follow in the Drapers Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in Wythe County.
