Ervie Berry Wilson, 96, of Vancleave, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Singing River Hospital in Ocean Springs. She was born May 12, 1919, in George County to David Eli and Mary Florence Flurry Berry. She was a mother and homemaker and worked as a seamstress at E.R. Moore. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Bonnie Chapel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Wilson; 2 sons, Ottis L. Wilson and Jackie M. Wilson; a brother, Hubert Berry; and 6 sisters, Vermel Loper, Dorothy Flurry, Pauline Fairley, Vivian Walker, Leola Byrd, and Emma Wilson.
She is survived by a daughter, Colene (Bill) Cain, Broome; a son, Lloyd (Lorraine) Wilson, Vancleave; a daughter-in-law, Kay Wilson, Vancleave; 13 grandchildren, Michael (Alecia) Wilson, John Wilson, Felicia (Shane) Serpas, Marty Wilson, Renee (Mike) Wadkins, Stacy Shumock, Leigh Cain, James (Anita) Cain, Glen (Jean) Cain, Cindy Clark, Delise Wilson, Craig Wilson, Tony (Gena) Wilson; 25 Great Grandchildren, 14 Great Great Grandchildren; a brother, Roy (Yvonne) Berry; a sister, Joyce Dawson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation and funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, February 17, 2016, in the Chapel of the George County Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with services officiated by Rev. Burnice Havard starting at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery, Wire Road, North Vancleave. Her Grandsons, Michael Wilson, James Cain, Glen Cain, Leigh Cain, Tony Wilson, and Marty Wilson will serve as Pallbearers. George County Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
