Gladys Elizabeth Schweers entered into rest on January 30, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 96. She was born on December 22, 1913 to Charles V. Brown and Paula Bader. She is survived by her son David W. Schweers and wife Estelle from San Antonio and her daughter Carol and husband Tom Autry from San Antonio; three grandchildren, Kevin Butts of San Antonio; Mary Ann Schweers of Dallas; Katherine Fell of Dallas and five great-grandchildren. Gladys grew up on a ranch near Los Angeles; she was a graduate of Cotulla High School and worked for the City of San Antonio Personnel Department for 25 years. Gladys was a long time member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in San Antonio and an active member of the "Silver Streaks". Viewing will be Friday February 5 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Peters Funeral Home, funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday February 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church. Arrangements under the direction of the Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
