Mrs. D. F. Shanklin Funeral Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. D. F. Shanklin, 88, who died Friday in Houston, were held Saturday in the Baker chapel, the Rev. Maxie Johns officiating. Interment was at the City cemetery.
Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
Mrs. Shanklin husband preceded her in death in 1938.
Survivors are five sons, W. T. Leonard, and Ray Shanklin, Gonzales; and Luther and Albert Shanklin, San Antonio; one daughter, Mrs. R. G. Roberts, Houston; a sister, Mrs. Buelah Wheeler, Gonzales; 13 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was born in Boone county Mo., on July 26, 1866.

Born July 25, 1886, Mrs. Shanklin is survived by sons, Willie, Leonard and Ray Shanklin of Gonzales; and Albert and Luther of San Antonio. A sister, Mrs. Beulah Wheeler of this city, also survives .
