Edna worked at the Ojibway Hotel for a number of years as a server and a hostess. She was also well known in the area for her dedication to the Hiawatha Skating Club where she held several positions since 1944, including treasurer and club president. Edna was involved in all phases of the operation of the club. She wrote and directed the "28th Annual Silver Blades Revue" in 1969, and in 1973, she wrote, directed, produced, and designed and crafted all the costumes and art direction for "Grandma's Toy Shop". Edna was an excellent seamstress and loved to knit and crochet. Edna and her husband, Eugene, were avid campers and traveled extensively throughout the United States camping and visiting their children. In 1996, their travels took them to Ireland.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Eugene J O'Neill, and her parents, James and Iris Miller. Surviving are 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Roy (Theresa deceased) Miller; Glen (Ardell) Miller; and Margaret (Bob deceased) Lynn and several nieces and nephews.
