George Arthur Carmean, 80 of 1625 E. Edwards Street, died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital. Mr. Carmean, a retired pressman was born July 24, 1879, in Illinois and had been a resident of Springfield most of his life.
Surviving are two brothers, Frederick of Springfield and Roy of Chicago. Remains are at Vancil Funeral Mansion where memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, the Rev. H. M. Hildebrandt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
