She married Mason Ellis Abbey on 1 April 1850, in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas. They were the parents of eight children. She lived in Starkville, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, in 1880. She died on 23 April 1899, in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia, at the age of 74, and was buried in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.
