Fred Arms, 97, of Danville, KY, formerly of Russell County, KY, died Friday September 25, 2015 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Funeral services for Fred Arms will be at 10amCT, Monday, September 28, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-7pmCT, Sunday, September 27, and after 9amCT, Monday at the Bernard Funeral Home. Interment in the Russell Springs City Cemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. Masonic Rites by Russell Springs Masonic Lodge will be at 7pmCT, Sunday, at the funeral home.

He was born June 15, 1918 in Celina, Clay County, TN. He was the son of the late James & Eula Sevier Arms. He died Friday, September 25, 2015, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 97 years, three months, and 10 days.

He was a World War II Veteran of US Army, a member of First Christian Church in Danville, KY, and worked for US Department of Agriculture. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Enola Belle Foley Arms.

Survivors include the following: •Two children: Eric Arms, Lexington, KY and Laura (Jason) Craven, Louisville, KY

•Six grandchildren: Ashley, Kacey, Madison, Brooke, Anna, and Benjamin

•Two great grandchildren: Caiden and Xander

•Two nieces: Linda Arms White (Trigg); and Sharon Arms, both of Allenspark, Colorado

•One nephew: Carl Emshoff (Merry Lou), Dallas, TX
