Nancy Ellen Yowell-Clatterbuck was born in TN in 1826. She was the daughter of William Yowell and Semphronia Hawkins b. 1808. She was married to John Wesley Clatterbuck Sr. of VA in 1845. She was the mother of 10 children and they were; Andrew F. Clatterbuck b. 1845, Roberta R. Clatterbuck b.1849,Caroline C.
