MANSFIELD: David Wayne Baldridge, 82, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born March 30, 1929 in Morehead, Kentucky he was the son of David and Cora (Fraley) Baldridge. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War as a medic. He retired from General Motors after 33 years of service. A great husband, dad, granddad and friend, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nellie (Owens) Baldridge; a son, Stephen (Brandy) Baldridge of Mansfield; two daughters, Evelyn (Phillip) Stacey of Mansfield and Loretta (Edward) Halstead of Marengo; 13 grandchildren, Sandra Webb, Shyann Franks, Barbara Lambert, Adrienne (Mike) Kerr, Teresa (Walter, Jr.) Tackett, Arlie Ray Russell, Laura Russell, Christine (Travis) Jeffers, Heather (John) Miller, Amanda McGuire, David Ziems, Ryan Ziems and Steph Trosen; 23 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and two sisters, Audrey (Bob) Patton of Shelby and Eileen of Texas. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Russell; a great grandson, Lance Allen Sigman; and seven brothers, Cleveland, Clayton, Ivan, Alonzo, Jack, Paul and Gaylord Baldridge.

Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. George Reece. Military services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will be held at the funeral home following the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
