Edgar Clary Abbott, age 73, of Roebuck, SC, died Tuesday afternoon, April 20, 1976, in General Hospital after a long illness.

A native of Spartanburg County; son of Edgar Lee Abbott (1872–1947) and Raymoth Jane Clary Abbott (1871–1936); husband of Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Egner Abbott (1908–1996).

Founder and operator of Spartan Bakery; member of El Bethel united Methodist Church; and charter member of Evening Optimist Club.
