Ardmore — A graveside service for Reda Ann Clifton, 71, is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at Province Cemetery with Anson Shuman and Gary Davis officiating. Visitation is available at Craddock Funeral Home.

Reda was born to Allie Lee Butler and Alice Butler (Burris) on June 18, 1940, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She passed from this life after a long illness on January 26, 2012.

Reda graduated from Central High School in Oklahoma City in 1958. She married John Frank Clifton Sr. on October 10, the same year. They shared 53 years of marriage. Reda and Frank lived in Iceland for a year during his military service in 1960. Reda primarily worked as a homemaker raising three children. She moved with her family to Lone Grove in 1975, and remained there throughout her life. Reda enjoyed sports and always attended her children's athletic pursuits. She and Frank spent time in their retirement fishing, traveling, and relaxing on Sunday drives.

Reda was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on July 11, 2011; her parents; and her sister, Wilma Nelson.

She is survived by her brother, Lee Butler of Sulphur, Louisiana; her sisters, Peggy Sanders of Vinita, Oklahoma, and Barbara Shelton of Spartanburg, South Carolina; three children;, John Clifton, Jr. and his wife, Ginny of Dover, Tennessee, Karla Patrick of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, and Alice Shuman and her husband, Steve of Allen, Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren; Zach Calley of Vermillion, South Dakota, Blake Patrick, stationed in Oak Harbor, Washington, Nick Gaukel of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Aeryn Shuman of Allen Texas, and Jesse Shuman of Allen, Texas.
