WALKER (Cordle) Betty Ann Walker (Cordle) "Sweetie Pie" was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 2, 1940 to Vodia and Viola (Thompson) Cordle in the Hungarian Village area of Columbus. She graduated from South High School in 1958. Member of Washington Avenue Evangelical United Brethren Church. She married Charles E. Walker on January 17, 1959. Betty was very active with her family and community. She was a resident of Clintonville for 48 years where she was involved with school and neighborhood activities. She was always helping out at school with younger children at lunch time and during school. She co-chaired and chaired the Whetstone 4th of July celebration in the mid 1970's. She was preceded in death by her father Vodia and mother Viola Cordle, son Charles Allen, sister Mildred Casto and step-father Manford Burns. Survied by husband of 52 years, Charles E. Walker; daughter, Charlene Combs; son-in-law, Jeffrey Combs; grandsons, Travis Justin Eisenman, Zackariah Tod Snyder, Corey Nathanial Snyder; great-grandsons, Anthony Cain Eisenman, Travis Justin Eisenman Jr.; great-granddaughters, Sierra Nicole Eisenman and Trinity Jade Eisenman. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH, where friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to service. Burial Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice.
