Funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 18, 2005, 12:00 p.m. at Helms Funeral Home. Rev. Nancy Fulton will be officiating, and interment will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service at 12 noon. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Central Michigan.
Shirley was born on Friday, August 9, 1940 in Gaines, Michigan to Clarence and Ethel (Tibets) Natzel. She married Kenneth Acker and was a resident of the Mt. Pleasant area for the past forty years. Shirley worked as a greeter for Meijer.
She is survived by her children: Connie "Rusti" Bartshe, Debra Musil and Victoria Monroe; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother Ed Natzel and a sister Peggy Churches.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; a son Tony Musil; and a sister Judy Natzel.
