Amador G. Sanchez of Cotulla, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 6, 2005, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 65 years. He was born in Cotulla, Texas on May 28, 1940 to Jose and Francisca Garcia Sanchez. Mr. Sanchez was a retired army veteran having served in the Vietnam War and received a Silver Star. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Armando Sanchez and a sister Dora Rodriguez. Survivors include his wife Jesusa C. Sanchez of Cotulla; daughter Rebecca S. Gonzalez and husband Fred of Cotulla; brothers, Jose Sanchez of Houston, Pat Sanchez and Paul Sanchez both of San Antonio; sisters Chita Ramirez of Cotulla, Berta Carpinteyro of Dilley and Alicia Gonzalez of Laredo; grandsons Fred Gonzalez, Jr. and Dwayne Gonzalez both of Cotulla and a grandaughter Nocole Gonzalez of Cotulla. Rosary was recited Wednesday, September 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Peters Funeral Home in Cotulla. Mass was celebrated Thursday, September 8 at 9:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Ft. John Van Lare, celebrant. Interment followed in the Cotulla East Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Paul Sanchez, Pat Sanchez, John Ramirez, Ramon Castillo and Sammy Gonzalez. Honorary pallbearer was Fred Gonzalez, Jr. Arrangemnts under the direction of the Peters Funeral Home, Cotulla.
