MACON, GA - Mrs. Clyde Griggers Mimbs, 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 28, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Mimbs was born in Lizella, Georgia to the late Jack and Elizabeth Greene Griggers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Leroy Mimbs, son-in-law, Leon Smith, two brothers, Cleveland Griggers and Robert Earl Griggers and a sister, Mrs. Lil Raleigh. Mrs. Mimbs was a former member of the Foursquare Gospel Church. She was very active in the life of her church, Bloomfield Gardens Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was a precious prayer warrior and loved her Lord and her family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Oaks at Peake, United Hospice and Willow Creek Assisted Living and for the loving care and respect given to their mother.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Wynelle Smith of Macon; son, Rev. Randall (Virginia) Mimbs of Macon; daughter, Ouida Whitfield of Macon; grandchildren, Rev. Keith (Ava) Smith, Laurie Scott, Michelle Chapman, Michael (Debbie) Mimbs, Mark (Tammy) Mimbs, Alicia (Troy) Sterk, Cory (Lisa) Whitfield; fourteen great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren and her much loved nieces and nephews.
