Millington (sometimes also known as 'Milton') is the son of James Couch and Elizabeth McBride (buried in Perry County, Ill.); married Mary Baird (buried Randolph Co., Ill.); this Couch family has deep roots around Randolph County, Illinois.
The Couch family, Baird and McBride families seem to be connected going back to South Carolina. We will continue to research this family.
Millington and Mary had the following children who made it to adulthood. (Note: four of their children died young):

Amanda Jennings -- Elmwood Cem. in Centralia
James Baird Couch -- Graceland Park, Sioux City, Iowa
Robert Gibson Couch -- Preston Cem., Randolph Co.
Hugh Porter Couch -- Caledonia Cem, Randolph Co.
Milton Couch -- Preston Cem., Randolph Co.
Also note: Three of Millington's young Couch grandchildren are buried near him and are remembered on one marker. All three of these grandchildren were infants or toddlers and died around 1871. Maybe they were visiting and got sick?
