Queenie Dillon was from Tennessee first married Gilbert Bartlett. First set roots in Socorro, NM, where the first son Gilbert was born in 1926. Queenie always helped her husband on the family farms and worked at a grocery store in Derry after her husbands death. She met her second husband, H.L. Carpenter, at the Church of Christ. She later took up work at the Chili Plant. Queenie died at 61 in 1968.

Queenie Carpenter Services Are Set

Services for Mrs. H.L. (Queenie) Carpenter, 61, Hatch, who died Monday at Ft. Bayard will be held at 10:00AM Friday at the Hatch Church of Christ.

Reverend Paul Wilkerson, El Paso Westside Church of Christ will be in charge. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories in Hatch. Arrangements are being made by Grahams Mortuary Mrs. Carpenter had been a Hatch resident since 1933.

She is survived by her husband Harvey, two sons; Gilbert Bartlett, Hatch and Allard Bartlett, Hurley, New Mexico, two sisters; Daisy and Ogie of Coosville, Tennessee, one brother, Shirley, Dayton, Ohio, five grandchildren
