HARVEY J. PIKE, 82
FITCHBURG - Harvey J. Pike, 82, formerly of 31 Gillis Court, died yesterday in Ellis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Norwood, after an illness.

His wife of 56 years, Doris I. (LaFleur) Pike, died in 1997. He leaves two daughters, Linda Manning of Franklin and Margaret Eken of Grand Forks, N.D.; a sister, Augusta Kunielius of Shirley; five grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was born in Leominster, son of Fred and Marguerite (Donnihan) Pike, and lived here most of his life. He graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1934.

He worked for R.M.P. Parts Rebuilders, retiring in 1980. He also was a riveter for Hedstrom Union Co. for 24 years. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home Family Chapel, 99 Summer St. Burial will be in South Cemetery, Lunenburg. A calling hour is 9 to 10 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HealthAlliance, Diversified Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Program, 316 Nichols Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
