Mrs. Dora Roberts, 66, a resident of Le Mars for many years died Wednesday, Dec. 19 at the State University hospital at Iowa City. Mrs. Roberts had been a patient at the Zimmerman Home the past year and was taken to the University hospital Saturday.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 23, at 2 o'clock at the Mauer funeral home. Rev. H. V. Bartz will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the city cemetery.
Mrs. Dora De Young Roberts was born June 20, 1885 in Holland. At the age of one, she came to this country with her parents and they settled in Rock Valley.
She came to Le Mars as a young woman and was married to Alex Roberts in 1902. They continued to make their home in Le Mars.
Surviving are two sons, Roy of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and Robert Roberts of Canton, S. D.; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Shoup, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Mrs. Helen Mechan, Shingletown, California, and Mrs. Carl (Vera) Elsen of Le Mars. Also 20 grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Rose Stiffie of St. Paul and Mrs. Clara Fry of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and a brother, Arthur DeYoung of Madison, S.D.
