Mr. White was born in Saluda on Nov. 3, 1911, and was a son of the late Eunice Sadler White and Luke Smith White, Sr. Mr. White moved to Myrtle Beach in 1933 from Saluda, where he was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. He was retired from Chapain Company.
Survivors include two brothers, Sam "Watson" White of Union and Tom C. White of Allendale; three sisters, Alice W. Craig of Greenwood, Mildred Redmond of Greensboro and Rilla Chisholm of Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. White was predeceased by two brothers, Pierce S. White and Luke Smith White, Jr.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at McMillan-Small Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 7-8 at the funeral home.
