Mary Elizabeth Duncan, 85, died Friday, February 20, in her residences. on Futch Road, Tylertown. Funeral services were Sunday at Capps Chapel with Rev Bartis Harper and Rev Glenn Alexander officiating and burial was in the Tylertown Cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth DUncan was a 30 year member of Tylertown Baptist Church
Mrs. Duncan was born November 10 1901 in New Orleans, the daughter of Mattie Wyatt. Her mother had left her abusive father when she was young. . She was a homemaker and resided in Walthall County since she was twelve. She was preceded in death by her husband Ellis Louis Duncan, one daughter Maude Lena Duncan Smith, one son Clifton Ellis Duncan and two infant children..
She is survived by one son, Earl Duncan of Tylertown; two daughters Edna Duncan Burch and Nelda Duncan Stogner, Tylertown; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters Ruth Alford, Cora Fortenberry, Boothett Brantley, and Jessie Sartin; one brother, Charles Duncan, Tylertown.
Pallbears were Gary Smith, Winston Smith, Raymond Duncan, Andy Burch, George Alford, and Reggie Bankston.
