Arthur Oscar Freudenberg II (born May 15, 1929) Military Service Number: 12273780

Hit by car:
Jersey Journal on May 19, 1937: "Auto Hits Boy. While playing in the street yesterday afternoon on Summit Avenue near Beacon. Arthur Freudenberg, 8, of 694 Summit Avenue, was struck by an auto operated by David Post, 41, of 166 Summit Avenue. Removed to the Medical Center in the same auto, the boy was treated by Dr. Bresev for abrasions of the hip, face and hand, and was taken home. His parents refused to make a complaint against Post."

Military:
Military Service Number 12273780. He served for three months as a private in the US Army Quartermaster Corps in 1946. He deserted the army and was found intoxicated in 1948: "Jailed as Deserter. After police investigation disclosed he was an alleged deserter from the United States Army, Arthur Freudenberg, 19, of 309 Central Avenue, was removed to the city prison, pending the arrival of military authorities, who were to take him into custody. He was arrested early yesterday after his auto allegedly struck a parked car in front of 1848 Hudson Boulevard, Jersey City, driving it onto the sidewalk and bending two parking meters."
