John W. "Bill" was the son of John Patterson and Carrie Belle Baker. He married Dorothy Davidson on March 10,1950 in Washington, Iowa. They are the parents of Sally Jo Patterson Schultz. He was a life time resident of Washington and worked for the Iowa DOT for 33 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army, and a member of the National Guard for 19 years.
