Betty Jane Milligan, age 80, of Wilmington, DE went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2012. Mrs. Milligan enjoyed reading, traveling in the camper, puzzles, dancing, sewing, and crocheting. She loved playing cards and board games with her grandchildren and cooking for her big family.

Mrs. Milligan is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Wilbur Milligan; children: Susan DeAngelis and husband Jerry, Nancy Ulrich and husband Thomas, Wilbur Milligan and wife Kathy, Bruce Milligan and fiancée Kim, Brinda Corradin and husband Jim, and Patricia Smith and husband J.D.; grandchildren: Alan, Lee, Eric, Anthony, Joshua, Michael, Nikki, Crystal, Kelly Anne, Lacey, Adrienne, Melissa, and Lindsye; 4 great grandchildren: William, Savannah, Emily, and Jillian; brothers; Francis McGinnes, Jack McGinnes; sister, Mildred Bragg; and her beloved dog, Cody. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Milligan; parents, Harry and Margaret McGinnes; brothers: Robert, Harry and Charles McGinnes; sisters: Dorothy Taylor, Margaret See and Sharon Weaver.

The family would like to thank VITAS Hospice and the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center for all of the kindness and compassion shown to Betty and her family. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2012 in Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 from 12 noon to 1pm followed by a service in celebration of Betty's life at 1pm. Burial will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
