Alana Lynn Elizabeth Hudspeth, 3, of Richmond, MO died on Friday, January 30, 2012 at her home. Alana was born on November 21, 2008 in Clay County, MO to Tim W. and Deanna (Prather) Hudspeth. Survivors include her parents, Tim W. and Deanna L. Hudspeth of the home; two brothers, Christopher Hudspeth and Johnathan Hudspeth of the home; one sister, Nicole Hudspeth of the home; paternal great-grandparents, Birdie Hudspeth of Crenshaw, MS and Frances Terry of Memphis, TN; paternal grandparents, Brian and Vicky Simpson of Richmond, MO and Sybil and Tim Goodman of Senatobia, MS; and several aunts and uncles also survive. Alana was preceded in death by her grandfather, Christopher W. Hudspeth; and one uncle, William Ward. Alana was a happy child. She loved all animals especially horses. She was very protective of her little sister, Nicole. Alana was a star in everyone's eyes. She loved everyone and everything. Alana loved new things and going on adventures. She was daddy's little girl, and tagged along with her brothers everywhere. The family suggests memorial contributions will be made to the Alana's memorial fund at Community Bank in Richmond.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Polley Cemetery in Wood Heights, MO. Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
