Rosella "Jo" (nee Collins) Abel, age 75, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.
She was born July 29, 1936, in N. Matewan, W.Va., and lived in Lorain for over 25 years coming from Wickliffe.
Rosella was a member of the Silver Saints at Midway Baptist Church. She also enjoyed taking care of her cats and strays along with spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Renee (Ron) Green; grandchildren, Kyle and Russell; sisters, Phyllis Loudermelt of Lorain and Mary Ann Varney-
Cassidy of Willowick; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Landis Jarvis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Abel; son, Barry D. Green; and parents, Jess and Virginia (nee George) Collins.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, from at the Misencik Funeral Home, 36363 Detroit Road, Avon.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Road, Elyria, OH 44037. (Please meet at the church.) Interment will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst.
