Geraldine was the 12th and final child of John Jacob Welty and Ida Belle Allen Welty. She was married twice, first time to David A. Bowling. They had a daughter, Janet Carol Bowling Mantle, born in 1946. She later married Leonard Lundeen and they had a son, John Leonard Lundeen, born in 1951. She worked at manual labor at Western Pottery in Monmouth. She had diabetes and died of a heart attack in 1971.
